Q?My car is a ‘write off’, what happens next? A. If your car is a ‘write off’ you must agree valuations with the inspecting engineer. If you are not happy find prices of similar vehicles in Autotrader . If the accident was not your fault you may be allowed to keep the salvage. We will not release any vehicle for savage without informing you first. Q?The accident was not my fault, what do I do? A. The other party can pay for repairs or you can claim on your insurance. The best way though is get the other insurance company to pay without making a claim on yours. We can sort all this out for you. Q?Will you carry out temporary repairs? A. On estimating we will always advise whether a vehicle is roadworthy. If possible we will make the vehicle legal or offer a replacement immediately. Q?Who do I pay the excess to? A. Once you are happy with the repairs you will pay us the excess. Q?How long will the repairs take? A. An idea of length of repair will be given as your car comes in but may vary once started as further damage can be found or parts may be delayed. We will endeavour to keep you updated throughout the repair. Q?Can I arrange for an MOT to be carried out? A. Yes, we can get this arranged by a local centre. If you would like to book an MOT click HERE Q?What do I need to bring with me when I come in for repair? A. Mainly the car, but also drivers licence and I.D. if you are getting a replacement. Q?Will you collect and deliver my car? A. This can be prearranged when the car is booked in for repair at no cost. Q?Can I have additional work done while my car is in for repair? A. The more the merrier, it is far more cost effective for you to do this. Q?Can I leave my car for repair while I’m on holiday? A. Many people do and we can deliver the car to your home, so it is there for your return. Q?Will I get a like for like courtesy vehicle? A. This depends upon your accident circumstances i.e. not your fault; we will arrange an equivalent vehicle. If it is a claim on your own insurance you will be supplied with a small 3/5door car. Q?As my car is new, my dealer says that I must have all accident repairs carried out by their bodyshop or my warranty will be invalidated. Is this true? A. No, we only use manufacturer parts so we will now cover your warranty on the repaired area. NB.THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY IS VOID ON ANY CRASH DAMAGED AREA AND IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE REPAIRER Q?Do I have to use the approved repairer the insurance company suggest? A. No the choice of who repairs your car is yours. The ‘approved repairer’ is only approved because they will give large discounts to the insurance company and do as they are told with regard to the repair, this may include fitting copy parts. Q?Do you guarantee all paintwork carried out on my vehicle when in for repair? A. Yes, we give a lifetime guarantee on all paintwork. Q?How much does it cost for an estimate? A. All our estimates are free and there is no need to pre-book an appointment.
